Our Ministries

Baptism Ministry 
This ministry is charged with making the necessary preparations for baptism.

Bereavement Ministry
The Bereavement Ministry (Comfort Care) provides support, comfort, love and compassion to our members and their families during the loss of a loved one.

Brotherhood Ministry
This ministry is comprised of all men who join our church family. The ministry is responsible for spiritual growth initiatives for developing and empowering the men of the church. In addition, this ministry works at building a strong bridge with our youth through education, mentoring, and athletics.

Building & Maintenance
This ministry is responsible for cleaning the church, maintaining the equipment and operating systems throughout the church facilities and grounds.

Christian Education (Sunday School)
The Sunday School ministry is the education arm of the church. Classes are held each Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. for adults and young people ages 3 to 18 years.

Citadel Creations
The function of this ministry includes the development of publications for the Cleveland Church of Christ including but not limited to the Citadel Newsletter, brochures, informational flyers, and programs. The goal of this ministry is to provide quality information and resources to members and guests.

Citadel Mimes & Praise Dancers
The Citadel Mimes & Praise Dancers interpret Gospel musing using various dance movements and non-verbal choreography to worship the Lord and aid in setting an atmosphere of worship. The Bible speaks of worshipping the Lord through dance by men, women and children. When dancing, we minister to the Lord and give Him glory, honor and praise.

Communion Ministry
This ministry is charged with making the necessary preparations for communion which takes place corporately the first Sunday of every month, and also weekly administered to individuals on a one-to-one basis.

Community Meals
This ministry provides meals to individuals and families in the local community on the third Saturday of each month.

Greeters
The Greeters are often the first point of contact for people entering the church for services. They are there to answer any questions or concerns of visitors or members and can direct them to the appropriate person or ministry for assistance as needed.

Hospital Visitation Ministry
Participants in this ministry visit members of our congregation who are hospitalized to bring encouragement and comfort through prayer and the Word of God. The Hospital Visitation Ministry recognizes the importance of reaching out to our hospitalized members and their family members as a means of letting them know that are our daily prayers and thoughts.

Intercessory Prayer Ministry
This ministry consists of believers who “stand in the gap” by going before God in prayer on behalf of others. It is the desire of the Intercessory Prayer Warriors to intercede for others in prayer believing that God will answer.

Men’s Security Team
This ministry is comprised of volunteers who are responsible for maintaining a watchful eye to discern any threatening, suspicious or harmful behaviors on behalf of our First Family, our staff, and our parishioners.

Music & Fine Arts
The Music and Fine Arts Ministry is comprised of psalmists, musicians, the Gospel Pearls and the Male and Female Choruses. This body of believers has answered the clarion call to this ministry.  The individuals in this ministry have dedicated their lives to creating an atmosphere for God’s people to praise the Lord through song. If you are interested in working the sound stage during Sunday services, Wednesday Power Nights, and rehearsals please contact the administrative office at 216.761.4500. Nursing Home Ministry
Participants in this ministry visit residents of nursing homes in the Greater Cleveland metropolitan area, sharing the love of Christ.

Nursing Ministry
The Nursing Ministry consists of Health Care Professionals and gifted lay individuals dedicated to promoting health awareness to our members as well as to the Greater Cleveland community. The Nursing ministry offers first aid and emergency assistance during regular worship services and special events.

Professional Ministry Technicians & Ushers
This ministry is comprised of men and women who meet, greet and seat parishoners as they enter the sanctuary. The Coat Room ministyr is also part of this group.

Public Relations & Communications
This ministry works under the supervision of the Senior Paster and the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for developing content to be disseminated through radio, television, print and online publications, and the church's website, announcing special events, prgrams and conferences held at the church.

Queen Mother’s Nursery
A nursury is provided for infants and children up to three years of age. The nursery is open during Sunday morning worship servie and is staffed by volunteers including parents, youth, and other church members.

Sisterhood Ministry
The Sisterhood Ministry is deeply committed to the purpose of strengthening and unifying the women of our church to the glory of God. This ministry promotes personal and spiritual growth through opportunities to participate in interactive and engaging activities as well as supporting the Citadel's community outreach initiatives. A special focus is directed toward supporting and mentoring youth in developing a closer walk with the Lord.

Special Events Ministry
The focus of the Special Events Ministry is comprised of experienced event planning and banquet management individuals who provide event planning, logistical managment and staffing for special events supporting the vision and mission of the church.

Technical & Audio Ministry
this group operates behind the scenes to support what is taking place on the pulpit during services and special events. The lights, sounds and video combine to more clearly convey the gospel message. Operations of this ministry include sound/audio, lighting production, video production, and audito duplication.

Words of Hope Bookstore
The bookstore is designed to equip members and visitors with faith building tools which include Christian books, CDs, DVDs, and other Bible-based resources that will assist in the spiritual growth of the believer.

Youth Ministries
The mission of our Youth Ministries is to introduce children to Jesus Christ in a manner that transforms their lievs and encourages them to develop a personal relationship with Him. Activities for children and young people include Christian Education (Sunday School) Card Class (ages 3 to 5), Young Peoples' Class (ages 6 to 12), and Young Adults' Class (ages 13 to 18)., as well as the Joylanders Childrens Choir for children and young people ages 5 to 18.
